AUGUSTA – Meredith Shaw poured in 20 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, as the No. 1 Yarmouth girls basketball tipped No. 2 Lake Region of Naples 45-43 in the Western Maine Class B championship game Friday night at the Augusta Civic Center.

Allie Baker chipped in with 11 points for Yarmouth, which earned a berth in the state title game March 5.

Samantha Allen scored a game-high 21 points for Lake Region and Kate Callahan added 10.

Jayson Loranger paced the No. 1 Yachtsmen with 10.
