I, like a lot of Mainers, have sat back and watched Gov. Baldacci circumvent the will of the people.

The people voted for slot machines and the governor has done everything he can to prevent them from becoming a reality.

The next thing he wants to do is make the seat belt law mandatory. The people voted against this also.

I always thought a majority vote rules. I am against making seat belt laws mandatory.

We are losing our freedoms one by one all the time. Let’s enforce the laws now on the books.

If all drivers paid attention to their driving and to the laws now on our books, we would not need the seat belt law.
