Valley wins 7th straight WM title Hall-Dale boys, Dirigo and Hyde girls also capture championships

AUGUSTA – Travis Hovey scored 19 points Saturday to help lead No. 3 Valley of Bingham to a 64-45 victory over top-seeded Pine Tree Academy of Freeport to claim the Western Maine Class D boys basketball championship at the Augusta Civic Center.

Cole Pullen had 11 points for Valley, which claimed its seventh straight regional title.

Ben Goodall led Pine Tree Academy with 17 points.

Ben Laflin scored 15 points for Hall-Dale and Jack Leet added 11 points.

Conrad Griffin had 23 points for Wiscasset and Jason Dighton scored 10 points.

Chelsey Dionne led Hall-Dale with 14 points and Kaitlyn Laflin added 10.
