Officials at Bangor International Airport announced Monday that Continental Express will commence nonstop jet service to its Newark hub starting June 9. There will be two daily flights during the busy summer season and one will remain on the Bangor schedule year round. As a result of Continental’s transition to the 50-seat jet aircraft in the Bangor market, all the flights from Bangor are now on jet aircraft. “We are pleased to be selected by Continental for this new service as it provides valuable connections through Continental’s hub to domestic and international locations,” said Bangor Mayor Frank Farrington.
