BANGOR – The Eastern Maine Class A schoolgirl basketball semifinals Thursday night are scheduled at 6:05 and 7:35 at the Bangor Auditorium.

According to Bangor principal Norris Nickerson the games have an earlier start than the boys semifinal games Friday night because Thursday is a school night.

Sixth-seeded Nokomis of Newport will play No. 2 Skowhegan in the first game Thursday night, followed by No. 5 Messalonskee of Oakland vs. No. 1 Cony of Augusta.

The Friday night boys semifinals feature No. 6 Gardiner vs. No. 2 Oxford Hills of South Paris at 7:05 p.m., followed by No. 13 Brewer vs. No. 9 Hampden Academy at 8:35 p.m.
