PALMYRA – Palmyra’s annual town meeting has been postponed from today until next Saturday because of a predicted snowstorm, but Corinna officials have decided to forge ahead and hold their meeting as planned.
Palmyra elections were held as usual Friday, according to Town Clerk Joan Bradley. There were no contested races.
Palmyra’s meeting was moved to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Palmyra Consolidated School on Route 2.
Corinna voters will gather at 10 a.m. today at Corinna Elementary School.
Voters are being asked to approve a $1.9 million budget, which is about $250,000 less than last year’s budget. Projects include renovations at the Levi Stewart Library, continued paving projects to augment downtown rebuilding, and a new roof on the public works building.
