The following schools and students placed among the top four in their classes at the Berklee College of Music High School Jazz Festival, held last weekend in Boston:

. Nokomis Regional High School Jazz, directed by M. Jack Clifford, honorable mention in Class SC;

. George Stevens Academy Jazz Combo, directed by Steve Orlofsky, honorable mention in Class SD;

. Old Town High School Jazz Ensemble, directed by Jeffrey A. Priest, second place in Class V;

. Colleen Smith, voice, Bangor High School, third runner-up in Class VJE-1 outstanding student musicians award; and

. Jacob Shanley, alto saxophone, Old Town High School, third runner-up in Class V outstanding student musicians award.
