Maine players named finalists for Kodak team

University of Southern Maine junior forward Megan Myles of Auburn is one of 40 finalists for the Kodak/Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s NCAA Division III All-America basketball team. Bates College senior forward Olivia Zurek and Bowdoin College sophomore forward Eileen Flaherty were also named finalists.

University of Southern Maine junior forward Megan Myles of Auburn is one of 40 finalists for the Kodak/Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s NCAA Division III All-America basketball team.

Bates College senior forward Olivia Zurek and Bowdoin College sophomore forward Eileen Flaherty were also named finalists.

Ten players will be chosen for the All-American team.

Myles is averaging 13.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. She also leads the Huskies in blocked shots with 28 and steals with 65.

USM, currently riding a school-record 28-game winning streak, will play Millikin College (Ill.) in the NCAA Division III semifinals in Norfolk, Va. Friday.

Zurek paced the Bobcats with 16.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game while Flaherty averaged 15.6 points and 6.2 rebounds.
