HAVERHILL, Mass. – A manufacturer of prepared tuna salad sold in supermarkets across the Northeast is conducting a voluntary recall because of possible contamination.
The tuna salad being recalled is made by Hans Kissle Co. Inc. and is sold under the Hans Kissle, Shaw’s, Stop & Shop and Block & Barrel labels. The Haverhill-based company is recalling 5-pound and 8-ounce containers with sell-by dates between March 15 and March 31. The tuna salad in question was sold in all six New England states, New York and New Jersey. Consumers who bought the tuna salad should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
