BRYANT POND – The Maine Conservation School has received grant money for scholarships to its Junior Maine Woodsman-Woodswoman and Junior Maine Guide programs for 2005.
An anonymous donor has agreed to pay half the fees for these programs for young people from SAD 1, SAD 9, SAD 27, and for Waldo and Knox counties and year-round island community school areas.
Funding is also available for the MCS Conservation Camp program through money raised by the state Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife annual moose permit auction.
The camp runs June 26-Aug. 26, and program lengths vary from one to four weeks. These scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
For information on all these programs, visit www.meconservationschool.org or call 665-2068.
