BANGOR – Frances Dighton Williams Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, honored two high school seniors with the DAR Good Citizen Award on March 4 at the Maine Veterans Home. Honored were:

. Erin Cormier, a student at Bangor Christian Schools, is the daughter of Kenneth and Jennifer Cormier of Bangor. She is chaplain of the National Honor Society and a member of class government. She leads chapel at the school, was a delegate to Dirigo Girls State and is a volunteer tutor with the third grade. She plans to attend Bethany Bible College in New Brunswick to become a Christian school teacher.

. Courtney Martin, a student at John Bapst Memorial High School, is the daughter of Garrett and Linda Martin of Veazie. She was a member of the state champion team in cross country and participates in track, National Honor Society, student government and Landmark Volunteers. She plans to attend Bowdoin College and to become a veterinarian.

Also at the meeting, the chapter voted to support Samantha Duranko’s project of collecting children’s history books for the Bangor Public Library. Duranko is state president of the Children of the American Revolution.
