A three-way race for a single seat on the Board of Selectmen is expected at the annual town meeting this weekend.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 19, on the lower level of the Community Center on Route 131.
Incumbent Selectman Kathy Anderson, who was elected in September to fill six months of an unexpired term, is expected to be challenged for re-election by Carrie Seekins and Paul Pearse. Nominations are made from the floor at the meeting, so other candidates may emerge for the three-year term, said Alice Pearse, administrative assistant to the selectmen.
Anderson was elected at a special town meeting when Ken Seekins resigned.
Other matters on the warrant include some minor adjustments to ordinances, Pearse said.

Incumbent Selectman Ben Lufkin will face a challenge for re-election by Duke Simoneau at the annual town meeting. Simoneau has served on the planning board.
The meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Morse Memorial School.
Nominations for officers are made from the floor at the meeting, so other candidates may emerge, but Simoneau has announced he will challenge Lufkin. The seat carries a three-year term.
Also on the meeting warrant are two new ordinances: a building notification ordinance and a rental housing standards ordinance. The building notification ordinance, if adopted, would mean a permit would have to be sought from the town office for any new construction. The proposed rental housing ordinance provides life safety standards for apartments and houses rented in town.

The annual town meeting, canceled last Saturday because of a snowstorm, has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Searsport District Middle-High School off Mortland Road.
Key decisions facing residents include whether to postpone consideration of the zoning portion of the comprehensive plan until a special town meeting in June.
