CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Dom Cyr of Van Buren won the men’s alpine Super G at the Chevrolet Eastern J3 Junior Olympics. The 16th-seeded Carrabassett Valley Academy freshman finished with a time of 1 minute, 10.62 seconds. Cyr also finished fourth in slalom and 10th in giant slalom during the four-day event at Sunday River in Newry.

Cyr finished second overall and is now qualified for the Whistler Cup on April 1-3 where he will compete against the top J3s in the United States.
