Outlook: The Bears are hoping the weather cooperates as they try to continue making strides working up to the start of the America East season in two weeks. UMaine meets Harvard in Saturday’s first game, then meets host New York Institute of Technology for single games Saturday and Sunday. Pitchers Richard and Creek have been sharp, while Norton looks to bounce back after a shaky outing at Monmouth. Smith, Barrett, and Quintal continue to lead the offense. The Crimson have displayed outstanding pitching thus far, while NYIT’s staff hasn’t made 6 rpg stand up often.
