PORTLAND – Former Oakland and Baltimore shortstop Mike Bordick will throw out the ceremonial first pitch on opening day April 7 for the Portland Sea Dogs as they open their 12th Eastern League season at Hadlock Field.

Bordick, a Hampden Academy graduate, played baseball for the University of Maine before signing with Oakland as a free agent in 1986. He played 13 seasons with Oakland, Baltimore, the New York Mets and Toronto.

The Sea Dogs will host Norwich at 6 p.m. Tickets for the game are available by calling the ticket office at 879-9500 or online at www.seadogs.com.
