ORONO – The 24th annual Maine High School Concerto Competition, sponsored by Bangor Symphony Orchestra, was held March 13 at Minsky Recital Hall. Pianist Henry Kramer of Cape Elizabeth won the $500 Annas-Cupp Award with a movement from Concerto, piano, G major by Maurice Ravel.

ORONO – The 24th annual Maine High School Concerto Competition, sponsored by Bangor Symphony Orchestra, was held March 13 at Minsky Recital Hall.

Pianist Henry Kramer of Cape Elizabeth won the $500 Annas-Cupp Award with a movement from Concerto, piano, G major by Maurice Ravel. He will perform with the full orchestra May 16 during the BSO Youth Concerts in Orono.

Other winners, with prizes funded by the Friends of the Symphony, were:

. Second place, $250, Ryan Graebert, cello, Bangor High School.

. Third place, $150, Stephanie House, violin, Cape Elizabeth.

. Honorable mention, $50, Mary Grattan, clarinet, Bangor High.

. Honorable mention, $50, Benjamin Tibbetts, Erskine Academy.
