Bangor schedules weekly meetings

BANGOR – The following city meetings will be held the week of April 4. All meetings will take place in City Council chambers at City Hall unless otherwise indicated.

. Monday: 4 p.m., parks and recreation advisory committee, 647 Main St.; 5 p.m., City Council’s finance committee, agenda includes council resolve appropriating funds from airport reserves to acquire Irving Oil property near airport for lease to L.L. Bean, renewal of humane society contract and to cover cost of 1995 airport spill, overview of school funding model.

. Tuesday: 5 p.m., council’s transportation and infrastructure committee, agenda includes review of medical facilities committee’s final report; 7 p.m., planning board, agenda includes preliminary subdivision plan for west side of Mecaw Road, final subdivision plan for Edgewood subdivision off Essex Street, site development plan revision for Bangor Parkade Inc., side development plan approval for Crossroads development on Stillwater Avenue, comprehensive plan update discussion on housing.

. Wednesday: 5:30 p.m., Bangor council, staff to discuss Stephen King’s “On Writing” as part of Bangor Reads program, Room 105B, Rangeley Hall, Eastern Maine Community College.

. Friday: noon, Penjajawoc-Mall area task force; multipurpose athletic fields complex subcommittee on funding and implementation, city manager’s office, review of needs assessment and design report, work plan.
