Ashley MacDonald

University of New England women’s lacrosse player Ashley MacDonald has been chosen Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. A first-year midfielder, MacDonald had six goals and eight assists in a 1-1 week for the Nor’easters.

Fabian Lenox

Women’s basketball player Fabian Lenox, of the University of Maine at Presque Isle, has been named First Team All-Independent by the Association of Division III Independents. She averaged over 25 points a game for the Owls this season.

Sarah Beasley

Sarah Beasley, a forward for the University of Maine at Presque Isle, has been named the Rookie of the Year by the Association of Division III Independents. Beasley averaged 13 points and over 10 rebounds per game for the Lady Owls. She was also named to the First Team All-Independents in a vote by the Association’s coaches.

Melissa Henderson

University of Southern Maine senior Melissa Henderson has been honored by the Little East Conference as Pitcher of the Week. In three appearances, two starts, Henderson compiled a 2-1 record with a 0.75 ERA. She allowed just nine total hits and one walk in 18.2 innings while striking out 27 batters.
