PITTSFIELD – Margaret Gannon, 64, of Palmyra was taken Wednesday morning to Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield with a wrist injury after a two-vehicle crash on North Main Street.

Gannon was driving north on North Main Street in a 1999 Dodge Neon when she was struck nearly head-on by a southbound vehicle turning into the Grove Hill connector.

The other operator, Shannon Peppard, 19, of Pittsfield, was uninjured and told Cote that she didn’t see Gannon’s car.

Peppard was driving a 1997 GMC Jimmy, which had minimal damage, while Gannon’s car had substantial damage, said the officer.

Both women were wearing seat belts, said Cote, and no charges were filed.
