BANGOR – A Gouldsboro man was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court to 60 months in prison for interstate violation of a protection order.

Anthony Wayne Robinson, 41, formerly of Washington state, was in Maine in June 2004 violating a protection order out of Washington. Robinson previously had served a 90-day jail term in Washington for domestic assault and then fled to Maine with his wife and two children, with whom he was not supposed to have contact.

Robinson and his wife set up jobs in Gouldsboro, but a man identified by police as Robinson’s father-in-law alerted authorities that Robinson was in Maine illegally. He was indicted in July 2004 on the charge and pleaded guilty in August.
