HAMPDEN – High water level and safety concerns have forced postponement of Saturday’s Souadabscook Stream Race and Sprint, according to Matt Dingle, the white-water chairman of the Maine Canoe and Kayak Racing Organization.

A makeup date for the races has not yet been set.

The Marsh Stream Sprint will be held on Sunday in Frankfort. The one-mile sprint race begins 9 a.m. and an eight-mile race begins at noon. Those seeking more information may contact Bill Deighan at 234-2510.
