PRESQUE ISLE – More than 50 exhibitors from Maine, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and throughout New England will be on hand this weekend for the Presque Isle Fish and Game Club’s annual Sportsman’s Show.

The event, to be held this Saturday and Sunday, will take place at the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Wieden Hall.

Among this year’s exhibits and stage events are free antler scoring by the Maine Antler and Skull Trophy Club, a live brook trout aquarium, a bird dog demonstration, and a live black bear and cougar from the A.E. Howell Wildlife Conservation Center.

Matthew Heintz, the Northwoods Balladeer, also will attend the event to perform shows on Saturday and Sunday.

The event will cap off with the annual moose calling contest, which features $350 in cash prizes.

The Sportsman’s Show 2005 will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $2, while children 10 and under get in free.
