Jennifer Emrich-Shanks of Bangor, a student at Bangor Theological Seminary, has been appointed student minister at Castine Unitarian Church. Emrich-Shanks will preach approximately two Sundays each month and contribute to community activities in other ways. She has been the intern minister at the Unitarian Universalist Society in Bangor for the past year. She is also a contributor to the BDN’s Voices religion and spirituality column. The Castine Unitarian Church is in its 215th year. Its longtime minister is the Rev. J. Mark Worth.
