The Maine Public Utilities Commission announced Friday it is launching “The Energy Market 2005,” a series of electricity market seminars and trade shows for medium-class commercial and industrial consumers. The five-event series will take place in locations around the state, including 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer and Wednesday, June 8, at Holiday Inn in Ellsworth. Preregistration is required for the free seminars. The registration deadline for the April 27 event is April 21, May 25 for the June 8 event. The seminars are designed to provide information about Maine’s electricity supply market and to meet with electricity suppliers, aggregators and brokers active in the industry. Current customers of Bangor Hydro-Electric Co., Central Maine Power Co. and Maine Public Service Co. are encouraged to attend.
