Mike Lansing of the University of Maine was named the America East Conference Men’s Track Performer of the Week. Lansing set a school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8 minutes, 57.73 seconds while finishing fourth overall at the SeaRay Relays at the University of Tennessee.

Katie Souviney

UMaine’s Katie Souviney was honored as the America East Conference Women’s Track Performer of the Week. Souviney set a school record with 4,705 points in the heptathlon to finish seventh overall at the SeaRay Relays at the University of Tennessee. Her time in the 100-meter hurdles was 13.86, which qualifies her for the NCAA Regionals.

Micralyn Wiechman

UMaine’s Micralyn Wiechman was named the Women’s Field Performer of the Week by the America East Conference. Wiechman placed first in the shot put at the Wildcat Invitational Saturday with a throw of 38 feet, 113/4 inches.

Connor Fitzgerald

Bowdoin College men’s lacrosse player Connor Fitzgerald was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Fitzgerald scored six of Bowdoin’s 10 goals in an overtime loss to Middlebury.

Tip Fairchild

University of Southern Maine junior right-hander Tip Fairchild was named the ECAC Division III New England Pitcher of the Week. Fairchild pitched a shutout win over 13th-ranked Eastern Connecticut by scattering six singles and striking out nine.
