ROCKPORT – Fallon Atkinson scored five goals and Sarah Doubleday noted the first goal in Camden Hills varsity girls’ lacrosse history as the Windjammers debuted with a 12-2 victory over Mountain Valley of Rumford.
Hannah Ford added two goals for 1-0 Camden Hills, while Doubleday, Katie Wood, Margaret Buell, Maggie McGaw and Michaela Coleman added one goal each.
Jessica Allen scored two goals for 0-1 Mountain Valley
Erika Johnson made 10 saves on 12 shots for Camden Hills, while Mountain Valley’s Anna Blanchard made 11 saves on 23 shots.

At Woodland, Scott Geel and Nick Reynolds teamed up on a five-hitter, striking out nine and walking eight, as Calais blanked Woodland.
Geel and Rob Rogers had RBI doubles in a three-run first inning rally that gave Calais all the runs it was to need.
Geel had a double and two singles and Rogers had a single to go with his double.
Ben Leighton singled twice for Woodland.

At East Machias, Jason Labonte’s two-run double and Sam Hostetter’s two-run single keyed a five-run second inning that erased a 2-1 deficit and Washington Academy added eight more in the third.
Jeff Ramsdell drove in three runs for the winners with a double and a single. Labonte and James Ramsdell also doubled and singled.
The Ramsdell brothers and Nick Wood teamed up on a five-inning six-hitter.
Isaiah Roberts had two singles for Machias.

At Baileyville, Lindsay Mingo had four singles and Sami Barnard homered and tripled as Calais collected the victory.
Jessica Whitaker and Darcy Gillespie each added three singles for the Blue Devils.
Whitaker struck out 11 over the first five innings to earn the win. Stephanie Perry struck out five in two innings of relief
Heather Townsend had a two-run single and Eryn Crowe singled home a run to account for Woodland’s only hits.

At East Machias, Washington Academy scored 14 runs in the sixth inning, thanks to 14 walks, to wipe out an 8-6 deficit.
Ashley Day and Rebecca Cox had the only hits in the decisive inning, both singles.
Ashley Tilton drove in three runs with two singles; Lauren Finn had a single and two RBIs and Sarah Livingstone and Justine Ramsdell each singled and scored three times. Kayla Wood picked up the win with six innings of four-hit ball.
Christi Holmes had a double and two singles for Machias.
