An employee of Hannaford Supermarket on Broadway in Bangor told police Monday that he saw two men load $150 worth of rosebushes into a car and drive off without paying for them.

Around 1:30 p.m., the employee said he saw a black Hyundai sedan drive up to the front of the store. He then watched as two men got out, put about a dozen rosebushes into the car and then drove off, according to a police report.

The employee was too far away to read the license plate and, as a result, police have no concrete leads.

A belligerent club-goer was arrested for disorderly conduct early Sunday morning when he refused to keep quiet after police broke up a fight outside Club Gemini on Harlow Street.

Lance K. Wallace, 23, of Oakland was escorted off the club’s property by police, but continued to run his mouth at officers. Bangor police Officer Gary Spencer warned Wallace that if he didn’t stop shouting profanities, he would be arrested.

Wallace walked away briefly only to turn around and continue cursing at the officers, Spencer’s police report stated. Spencer and Officer Shawn Green chased Wallace around the parking lot and had to use force to handcuff him. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail.
