PHILADELPHIA – Old Town High School track standout Cassie Hintz raced to a sixth-place finish in the Olympic Development women’s 10,000-meter run held Thursday night during the 111th Penn Relays at Franklin Park.
The 17-year-old junior from Stillwater finished the 6.2-mile race in 34 minutes, 36.81 seconds. Erika Aklufi, a 27-year-old attorney from Santa Monica, Calif., won the race in 33:56.85.
Hintz’s time would have placed her third in the College Women’s 10K held earlier Thursday.
