WASHINGTON – A Georgia company is recalling Edwards Oreo Frozen Pie Slices after discovering the product may contain unlabeled peanuts, which can cause a life-threatening reaction in people allergic to peanuts.
Edwards Fine Foods Inc. of Atlanta said Friday that consumers may have purchased the Edwards Oreo Singles 2-pack Frozen Pie Slices at retail stores throughout the United States.
The frozen dessert comes in a blue box that displays a picture of a cookie and has a date code of Y84282.
No illnesses have been reported as a result of the problem, according to a company statement.
