ASHLAND – Andy Martin pitched a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts and one walk to lead the Van Buren Crusaders to a 16-1 high school baseball victory over the Ashland Hornets Tuesday.
Trevor Hews powered Van Buren with three singles, a double, three RBIs and three stolen bases. Alex Martin drove in three runs on a double and two singles, while Lane Smith added two singles and an RBI. Matt Parent had two singles and one RBI.
Ashland’s Jeremy Baker had an RBI single and Kevin Baker had a double.

At Fort Kent, Evan Boutilier hit a solo home run and a sacrifice fly to help lead Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook to the win.
Andrew Edwards and Clay Lawlor each had two singles for the Warriors. Adam Anderson struck out five in three innings.
Tom Desjardins tripled and singled and scored two runs for Fort Kent and Joe Soucy had two singles and an RBI.
