UM graduation moved indoors to arena

ORONO – Two graduation ceremonies at the University of Maine will be held indoors today in the Alfond Arena due to inclement weather. The events are to be held at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Commencement speaker, author Stephen King, who graduated from the university 30 years ago, will address graduates at both ceremonies.

Graduates are to attend the morning or afternoon ceremony depending on which college they will receive degrees from.

Degrees will be awarded at 10:30 a.m. to graduates from the:

. College of Business, Public Policy and Health;

. College of Liberal Arts and Sciences;

. Division of Lifelong Learning.

Degrees will be awarded at 2:30 p.m. to graduates from the:

. College of Education and Human Development;

. College of Engineering, including the School of Engineering Technology;

. College of Natural Sciences, Forestry and Agriculture.
