Greg Moore and Kim Corbitt of the University of Maine have earned the All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year award from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Moore, a junior from Lisbon, scored 14 goals and added nine assists for the Black Bear hockey team. Corbitt, a senior from Albany, N.Y., sparked the women’s basketball team to its third straight America East regular-season title.

The NCSA award was presented to 251 collegiate athletes from 100 schools.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Kim and Greg,” said UMaine strength and conditioning coach Will Biberstein. “Both of these student-athletes embody the essence of what hard work, dedication, and determination can do.”
