McGinley had reached on an error, advanced on an errant pickoff attempt and stole third.

Steve Kennerson hit a three-run single for the winners and David Wilder added a two-run double.

Josh Pelletier doubled, singled and drove in three runs for Foxcroft Academy and Justin Freeman added three singles and an RBI. Dave White notched two singles and an RBI.

At Old Town, Jared Goody hit a bases-loaded singled in the seventh inning to give Old Town the victory.

Goody also hit an RBI double for Old Town and Chris Brewer doubled and scored three runs. Jacob Lukas hit an RBI single.

Dustin Thomas and Jon Brothers each hit solo home runs for Orono and Travis Dunton hit a two-run single.

At Newport, Joel Neill had three singles and a double to drive in four runs and push Hampden Academy to victory.

Blaine Meehan had doubles and four RBIs for the Broncos and Mike Brown added two singles and an RBI.

Josh White had two singles and an RBI for Nokomis and Dylan Carroll singled to drive in two runs.

At Bingham, reliever Joe Jardine pitched his way into trouble, then registered a strikeout with the potential tying run on third base in the seventh inning as the Lakers edged the Cavaliers.

Eric Driscoll rapped a two-run triple and a single for Greenville, while Kevin Bradford doubled and singled. Keith Aucoin singled home the eventual winning run in the seventh.

Lucas Melcher and Cole Pullen each singled twice with an RBI for Valley.

At Bangor, Brandon Woodman hit three singles to drive in four runs and lead Dexter to the win.

Eric Day had two singles and an RBI for the Tigers and Tim McCarthy doubled. McCarthy and Sam Bowers combined to allow one run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven.

Tory Dearborn hit an RBI single in the sixth inning for Bangor Christian.

At Bucksport, Andy Pooler hit a two-run single to spearhead a nine-run sixth inning that led the Trojans to victory.

Pooler hit another single for Mount Desert Island, while Marcus Maffucci paced the attack with two doubles, two singles and an RBI. Dan Lyons singled three times (1 RBI).

Joe Robicheau doubled and singled with two RBIs for Bucksport, while Nye Gifford also doubled and singled.

At Newport, Jenna Shue singled four times to push Hampden Academy past Nokomis.

Nellie Wood had two singles and an RBI for Hampden and Myra Shannon doubled and singled. Erika Veinote and Lacey Littlefield combined on a three-hit shutout.

Tatum Welch, Michelle Bardon and Patrice Ciancette each singled for Nokomis.

At Old Town, Liz Bergeron allowed just two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four to spark Old Town to the win.

Shaylee Moulton had two singles with two RBIs for Old Town and Bergeron added two singles and a double to drive in a run. Amy McFalls had two singles and Monica Hussey tripled.

Jessica Bates singled twice for Orono.

At Hermon, Kristen Oakes scattered four hits, striking out 14 and walking none, to pace the Hawks.

Ericka Joy walked, stole second, and scored on Katelin Campbell’s single in the first inning to give Oakes the only run she would need.

Campbell finished with a triple, double, single, and two RBIs. Shannon Wiggin, Ashley Kelley, and Ally Wharton added RBI singles.

Coral Goggin, Kristine Weymouth, Sarah Anderson, and Angel Cumberland each hit a single for the Ponies.

At the Bangor Christian Schools field, Christy McGowen tossed a one-hitter, striking out 13 and walking 10.

Katie Poirier topped the Tigers with a double, two singles, two runs scored, and an RBI.

Amarie Hussey posted the Patriots’ lone hit, a single in the second inning.

At Bucksport, Terren Hall pitched a two-hitter, striking out five and walking two, and stroked an RBI single during the Golden Bucks’ two-run first inning as Bucksport prevailed.

Hall had two singles as did batterymate Katie Hurd, who had an RBI hit in the second. Jill Richards chipped in with two singles for the Bucks.

Lynne Bowden doubled and Stephanie Shuster singled for Mount Desert Island behind loser Nina Megquier, who scattered six hits, struck out two and didn’t walk a batter.
