MARS HILL ? Andrew York allowed just one run on four hits and three walks while striking out 10 to help lead Central Aroostook to a 2-1 baseball victory over Washburn Friday afternoon.

James Richards hit an RBI fielder’s choice in the seventh inning to give Central Aroostook the win. Sam Clockedile had two singles and Andrew York hit an RBI single.

Isaac Carney singled twice for Washburn and Steven Pesut singled and scored a run.

Jason Thompson had nine strikeouts and only two walks.

At Ashland, Trevor Tompkins singled three times to drive in five runs for the winning Hornets.

Jeremy Baker double twice and singled twice to bring home another four runs. Josh Chamberlin had three singles and a triple for three RBI. Tyler Cote also had three singles and three RBI.

Jordan Guy singled twice and stole three bases for the Hawks.
