Fund-raisers to benefit Bangor Humane Society

The Bangor Humane Society will benefit from three upcoming events.

First is a Car Wash noon-4 p.m., Sunday, May 15, at 693 Mount Hope Avenue, to support BHS volunteer programs.

But, if you don’t own a car, visit Premier Video’s Yard Sale 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday, May 15, at 250 State St., Bangor. For every movie sold, that business will donate $1 to BHS.

Next, seating is limited for the Canine Nutrition Seminar at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, at Green Acres Kennel Shop, 1653 Union Street, Bangor, so advance registration is suggested.

There is no charge to attend, but you are asked to reserve your seat with a minimum $5 donation to the Bangor Humane Society Shed and Emily Fund.

The seminar, Don Hanson wrote, “will focus on nutrition as the foundation of good health” for your pet and, it is hoped, “at the conclusion of this presentation, you will be better equipped to select a food for your own dog.”

Checks can be sent to Green Acres at the above address adding the 04401 zip code.

Your donation will be forwarded to BHS after the seminar, which offers coupons worth more than your $5 donation.

To register, write to the above address or, for more information, call 945-6841.
