ROCKPORT – Carly Lochala of New Sharon and Helen Pottle of Perry walked Junior National qualifying times at the Knox County qualifier Sunday.

Camden Hills High School senior Lochala won with a time of 27 minutes, 54.3 seconds for the 5,000-meter race, and Shead High School junior Pottle was second with a time of 28:07.1.

Lauren Forgues, a junior from Boothbay, had previously qualified, bringing the Maine female racewalkers total to three for the USATF Junior National Track and Field meet in California. They will compete at 10,000 meters for a USA junior team spot.
