Monson PTO to hold fund-raising barbecue

MONSON – The Monson PTO is raising funds to bring Mark “Rock” Rothstein’s World of Rope Jumping and his Jump Against Drugs program to the Monson Elementary School.

The PTO will hold a chicken barbecue from 3 to 6 p.m. May 21, at the bandstand. Picnic tables will be set up for participants. In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Monson Gymnasium.

The Atlanta, Ga., performer has presented more than 7,500 Jump Against Drugs school assemblies to more than 5 million young people.

He has established two world records for marathon rope jumping and is well-known for his efforts to promote drug-free, physically fit lifestyles.
