NEWPORT: MISSION TO KENYA

Leslie Mayer, who attends Ecclesia, an emerging church in the Newport area, is working to join a mission team headed to Naivasha, Kenya, on June 25. Composed of a medical team as well as children and adult ministry teams, the team aims to feed and give medical attention and comfort to hundreds of children. The team is focusing on a Kenyan minister, the Rev. Jeremiah Pallangyo, and his ministry to orphans and street children. Mayer said a priority need is medical donations. Ecclesia is affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church, with about 300,000 members in the United States and roots in the Dutch Reformed church.
