FORT KENT – Leah Babin tripled, singled and drove in three runs to lead the Fort Kent Warriors to a 14-12 high school softball victory over the Washburn Beavers in the first game of a doubleheader Thursday.
Fort Kent won the second game 15-8.
In the first game, Trisha Desjardins singled twice to drive in three runs for Fort Kent.
Amber Palmer doubled and singled for three RBI, while Erica McDougal had two singles and two RBIs for Washburn.
In the second game, Shannon Morneault had two singles and an RBI for the Warriors.
Palmer cranked a two-run home run for Washburn. Kelsey McLaughlin also doubled and singled, driving in two runs.

At Presque Isle Wednesday, Tim Lyford scored on a suicide squeeze bunt from Tim Morrison in the fifth inning to give Presque Isle the win.
Danny Michaud and Spencer King each singled for Presque Isle.
Chad Lavway allowed just three hits and three walks while striking out eight in four innings of shutout relief.
Anthony Adams doubled for Caribou and Arik Jepson, Jon Noyes, and Josh Doucette each singled.
