Robinson paces Lynx past Pandas

LEE – D.J. Robinson tripled and drove in two runs as Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln defeated Lee 5-2 in high school baseball action Friday.

Adam Long added two singles for the Lynx.

Gerry Worster doubled to bring in both Panda runs. Charlie Boulrisse had a single and a double.

At Stacyville, Jordan Pelkey hit three singles and a triple to drive in four runs to lead Schenck of East Millinocket to victory.

Chris Byron had four singles and four RBIs for Schenck and Aaron Waite added three singles. Cameron Cunningham struck out 11.

Jared Anderson hit a solo home run and an RBI single for Katahdin and Patrick Willett had a double and two singles.

Dexter, Stearns down Penquis

At Milo, Dan Beatham hit a two-run homer, double, and two singles to drive in four runs and lead Dexter to a 13-2 win over Penquis in the first game. Stearns of Millinocket defeated the Patriots 12-1 in the second game.

In the first game, Tim McCarthy, Chris Rabideau, and Eric Day combined to allow just one run on four hits while striking out 12 for the Tigers. Day doubled, singled, and knocked in a run.

Zac Beals and Ryan Andrews each hit an RBI double for Penquis.

In the second game, Justin Pelkey had a double and two singles with three RBIs for the Minutemen. Ryan Beaulieu doubled and singled with two RBIs, and Steve Cyr added two singles and two RBIs.

Andrews tripled for Penquis.

At Greenville, Eric Driscoll knocked out a grand slam and a double to drive in a total of seven runs as the Lakers ran past the Beavers.

Keith Aucoin doubled and singled twice to bring in two runs for Greenville. Ryan Edmondson also singled twice and had two RBIs.

Will Staples had a single for Averill of Hinckley.

At Deer Isle, the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners defeated Bangor Christian 6-2, but then the BC Patriots came back for a 10-2 victory over Jonesport-Beals in their second game of the day.

Collin Ciomei three-hit BC in the first game and was backed by a two-run home run by Nick Ciomei. Collin Ciomei also had an RBI single.

Micah Dougherty cranked a solo homer for BC.

In the day’s second game, Aaron Wilson turned in a 4-for-4 effort that included a double and RBI to spark the Patriots. Justin Phinney chipped in with three singles.

Pooler finished with three singles. Marcus Maffuci also singled three times, driving in two runs. Kyle Shea doubled three times and had one RBI, and Dustin Dunn doubled, singled, and also had an RBI.

Collin Henry singled and hit a home run to bring in two runs for the Eagles. Josh Astbury added two singles.

John Bapst, Orono take wins

At Hampden, Gwen Wadleigh allowed just four hits and two walks while striking out 16 to lead John Bapst of Bangor to the 6-0 win over Orono in the first game. Orono took the second game 10-3 over Foxcroft Academy.

In the first game, Meaghan Brown doubled, tripled, and drove in a run for John Bapst. Danielle Richards had two singles, and Hillary Lafemiere added an RBI double.

Emily Balaban doubled and singled for Orono.

In the second game, Michelle Nickerson hit a three-run triple for Orono and Jessica Bates had a double and two singles to knock in a run. Kaeley Spinney tripled, and Chelsea Paul had two singles.

Coral Goggin doubled and singled for Foxcroft, and Sarah Anderon and Danielle Boulier hit RBI doubles.

At Howland, Jamie Milton tripled and singled to drive in three runs and push Penobscot Valley past Piscataquis of Guilford.

Kelsy Lavertu had two singles and a double for Penobscot Valley and Tiffany Brown hit three singles to knock in a run. Randy Rackley tripled as Jamie Milton allowed just three runs on three hits and no walks while striking out six.

Kelly Martel doubled for Piscataquis and Tracy Dewey hit an RBI single.

Penquis takes two

At Milo, Michelle Mulherin singled to drive in the winning run in as Penquis beat out Stearns 2-1. She then scored the winning run to help Penquis win their second game against Dexter 4-3.

In the first game, Kylie Palmer singled twice for the Patriots and Ashley Pelletier doubled.

Tania Morales singled three times to bring in one run for the Tigers. Michelle Chapman also singled and scored a run.

In the second game, Kayla Goodine scored the tying run for Penquis on a wild pitch with two outs and the bases loaded. Mindy Dolley added a double and a single. Graves struck out 12 while walking none and allowing five hits.

Holly Franck singled twice for the Minutemen.
