LIMESTONE – Lefty Randy Thibeault tossed a three-hitter, striking out 14 and walking six to lead the Wisdom Pioneers to a 6-3 high school baseball win over the Limestone Eagles Friday.

Shane Martin gave Thibeault some valuable breathing room with a two-run double in the seventh inning for the winners from St. Agatha.

Chris Pelletier broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning when he lined a single and scored when the ball was misplayed.

Pelletier had two singles and a run batted in and Thibeault also had a pair of singles.

Andrew Kirchner had an RBI double and a single for Limestone and James Dempsey had the other hit, a single. Matt Enman pitched a complete-game eight-hitter with 11 strikeouts and five walks.

At Van Buren, Dustin Butler singled twice and doubled once to drive in four runs for the winning Owls.

Matt Beaulieu also singled twice and doubled once. Kenny Sirois doubled, singled and drove in two runs while brother Mark had two singles.

Ryan Brewer doubled and singled for three RBIs for the Shiretowners. Jeff Lenentine had two singles and two RBIs. Jordan Hill had two singles and Harry Austin had a double.

At Stacyville, Jordan Pelkey hit three singles and a triple to drive in four runs to lead Schenck of East Millinocket to victory.

Jared Anderson hit a solo home run and an RBI single for Katahdin and Patrick Willett had a double and two singles.

At Bucksport, Nye Gifford allowed just four hits and two walks while striking out nine to lead Bucksport to the shutout win.
