Weekend plant sale to aid wildlife park

Gardeners looking to shop for a good cause may want to head to Gray this weekend, where the Friends of the Maine Wildlife Park will hold their annual plant sale from Saturday through Monday.

The volunteers raise perennials and annuals in their own greenhouse for use in gardens, beds, planters, and pots all around the park, and each year they sell some of those plants to the public.

All proceeds from the sale go to benefit the park, its wildlife, and its programs.

For more information about the sale or any other Maine Wildlife Park programs, call 657-4977 or check the Internet at www.mainewildlifepark.com.
