MILLINOCKET – Matt Wark slammed a two-run homer to lead the Stearns Minutemen to a 9-2 schoolboy baseball victory over archrival Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln Monday.
George Surette, Jordan Burleigh, Ryan Bouchard and Ryan Beaulieu each had two singles to drive in a run for Stearns.
Adam Long and D.J. Robinson each doubled and singled for the Lynx.

At Dexter, Tyler Poirier singled twice and drove in four runs to lead to Tigers to victory.

At East Sullivan, the Eagles scored one run in at least every inning to tame the Tigers.
Blake Wessell and Colin Henry each had two singles and a double for George Stevens of Blue Hill. Phineas Peak and Ross Gallagher each contributed two singles while Lucas Marks notched a double and a single.
Jeff Burditt hit a pair of singles and a double to lead Sumner. Mike Savon and A.J. Pennartz both had two singles.

At Bucksport, Tarren Hill spun a four-hit shutout, striking out 11 and walking none for the victorious Golden Bucks.

Mycah Cyr, Kate Campbell, Ashley Kelley and Becky Colpitts had a single apiece for the Hawks.

Bangor Christian drops two
At Dexter, the Patriots dropped a pair of games, falling 6-4 to Lee Academy in the first game and 5-4 to Dexter in the second.
In the first game, Liz Reed and Aarika Ritchie each singled twice to lead the Lee Academy Pandas past Bangor Christian.
Kerri Harris added a double for Lee Academy.
Annie Babineau tripled and singled to lead the Patriots.
In the second game, Sabrina Cote slapped a two-run single to key a three-run third inning for the Tigers.
Tracy Mountain hit an RBI single for Dexter while Roseanna Stewart had two singles and an RBI. Cristy McGowan had 11 strikeouts in a complete-game, one-hit effort.
Christian Pelletier singled for Bangor Christian’s lone hit.
