BANGOR – Police arrested two men who allegedly forced their way into a Court Street residence early Tuesday morning, then assaulted a man inside and fled with his medications.
A third man involved in the break-in and robbery was not charged as of Tuesday afternoon, but Detective Sgt. Paul Kenison of the Bangor Police Department said in a prepared statement that other arrests were expected.
Charged in the incident were Brandon Wood, 22, of Glenburn and a 17-year-old from Brewer who was not identified by police because he is a juvenile. Charges included robbery, burglary and stealing drugs, according to the statement.
The resident who was attacked suffered injuries to his head and face but those injuries were not life-threatening, Kenison reported.
The incident began about 12:45 a.m. when the three men began yelling on the doorstep of the residence, then kicked in the front door. Once inside, they assaulted the occupant and fled with the man’s medications, which included oxycodone and methadone, Kenison reported.
