Scull lifts FF Tigers past Pioneers

ST. AGATHA – Billy Scull blasted a three-run homer in the third inning to lead the Fort Fairfield Tigers to a 9-4 schoolboy baseball victory over Wisdom of St. Agatha on Wednesday.

Robbie McNamee doubled and singled for Fort Fairfield and Jesse Sayers doubled. Matt Enman, Keith Edgecomb and Jake Kenneson each hit two singles. Scull had 10 strikeouts and only two walks.

Josh Belanger hit three doubles for Wisdom.

Limestone 4, East Grand 1

At Danforth, Matt Enman scattered seven hits in a complete-game effort while striking out 14 to earn the win for the Eagles.

Limestone took advantage of three Vikings errors in the top of the third to plate two runs.

Chad Peers knocked an RBI single for the Eagles while Enman and Gabe Hynrick both singled.

Eric Preston had two singles and knocked in a run for East Grand and Brett Byers added two singles. Micah Barnes struck out 12 in pitching all seven innings.

Madawaska 11, Washburn 1

At Washburn, Billy Roy pitched a no-hitter while allowing one run and five walks and striking out seven to push Madawaska to victory.

Andre Roy hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning an an RBI double for Madawaska. Dustin Butler hit a three-run homer in the first inning and Tom Dahlgren singled twice.

Steven Pesut scored on a fielder’s choice for Washburn.

At Lee, Kent Doane hit a three-run home run and a two-run double to lead the Pandas to their 13th victory.

Everett Houghton had a two run homer and an RBI single for Lee, while Charlie Boulrisse hit three singles and Tyler Thompson had two singles and an RBI.

Senior Gerry Worster improved his record to 5-2 with a two-hitter. The righty struck out seven and walked four.

Patrick Willett had a single and a sacrifice fly for Katahdin of Stacyville, while Oneil Qualey also singled.

Mount View 2, Rockland 0

At Thorndike, Mike Mayer pitched a six-hit shutout as Mount View kept its playoff hopes alive.

Mayer struck out three and walked no one while not allowing an extra-base hit.

The Mustangs scored both their runs in the bottom of the sixth off Rockland starter Josh Fogg, who allowed just seven hits.

Ben Raven was hit by a pitch with one out, and Kyle Harvey singled. An error was made on Eric Eddy’s fielder’s choice grounder that allowed Raven to score. Ben Ward then singled home Harvey.

Harvey had two singles for Mount View, while John Wentworth added a double.

At Harrington, senior right-hander Cory Worcester pitched a two-hitter with 18 strikeouts and three walks as host Narraguagus earned the win.

The Thomas College-bound Worcester, who finished the regular season with a 6-2 pitching record, also had a double and two singles.

Jeff Taylor added two doubles and three RBIs, while Matt Tenan singled twice.

Jamie Farley and Matt O’Brien each singled for Calais.

At Machias, Kenneth Moore slapped an RBI double and Zach McNally had three singles and an RBI as the Bulldogs prevailed in five innings.

Isaih Roberts tripled and singled for Machias and Alan Austin added two singles.

Jack Williams knocked an RBI single and Joe Libby hit three singles for the Royals.

At East Machias, Corey Colbeth hit four singles and a double to drive in two runs to lead Washington Academy to the win.

Rick Simmons singled twice for the Raiders as James Ramsdell and Nick Wood each hit a two-run double.

A.J. Pennartz had three singles for Sumner of East Sullivan. John Stewart and Mike Savoy each singled twice.

At Guilford, Tim McCarthy hit a three-run home run in the first inning and two singles to drive in five runs to lead Dexter to the win.

Chris Rabideau had two singles and a double with four RBIs for the Tigers and Aaron Woodman had three singles. Eric Day hit a two-run double and a single.

Mike Burnett hit a two-run double in the first inning for Piscataquis and Justin Davis had an RBI single.

Sheena Esancy had two singles to drive in a run for the Tigers. Lauren Beckwith hit a two-run single and Brittany Strout added an RBI single.

Chelsie Paradis, Amanda Haskins, Heather Albert, and Kayla Michaud each singled for Wisdom.

Amber Palmer hit a two-run double and a triple for Washburn. Stephanie Burtt had three singles and two RBIs and Erica McDougall doubled and singled.

At Caribou, Andrea Herring doubled, singled and drove home a run to lead the Shiretowners to victory.

Makayla Gahagan had a triple and an RBI for Caribou, while Billie Martin had a double and two RBIs. Jessica Kinney added a pair of singles for the Vikings.

At Lee, Brooke Harris allowed just five hits and one walk while striking out three to lead Lee Academy to the shutout win.

Chelsie Bates had two singles for Katahdin of Stacyville and Lindsay Albert doubled.

Rebecah Cox singled and scored two runs for Washington Academy and Ashley Tilton doubled.

At Machias, Rachelle Parker hit four singles and a double to knock in a run and lead Jonesport-Beals to the win.

Rachel Church hit three singles for Jonesport-Beals and Kristi Smith added two singles and two RBIs.

Eileen Alley tripled, doubled, and singled to drive in a run for Machias. Christi Holmes had two singles and two RBIs and Katie Stevens singled twice with an RBI.

At Thorndike, Caitlin Hines racked up two singles, a double and plated two runs as the visiting Tigers rolled.

Ali Wellman had two singles and an RBI for Rockland.

Megan Carter’s three singles led the Mustangs.
