Sam Bowers of Dexter, Kathleen Hanlon of Brewer, Joey Kane from Central High School of Corinth and Shelby Pickering of Lee Academy are the winners of the 2005 Maine Sports Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Awards.

The awards will be presented during the 6 p.m. Maine Sports Hall of Fame awards ceremony Sunday, June 12 in Portland at the Italian Heritage Center.

Other award recipients are Josh Avery and Amanda Rumpf of Bonny Eagle in West Buxton, Aylie Baker and Nick Runyon of Yarmouth, Brad Bryant of Livermore Falls and Jessica Wilcox of Mount Ararat of Topsham.
