Activist David Parker of Lexington, Mass., will make two presentations next week in Brewer and Ellsworth regarding the recently signed gay rights law.

The events, part of the Peoples’ Voice Statewide Tour, are sponsored by The Christian Civic League, Maine Grassroots Coalition and the Coalition for Marriage.

Parker was arrested and jailed in April at his child’s school while in discussion with officials about the school’s curriculum on diversity.

Other speakers include Brian Camenker, a Massachusetts activist and founder of The Parents’ Rights Coalition and the Article 8 Alliance; Paul Madore, founder of the Maine Grassroots Coalition of Lewiston; Michael Heath, director, The Christian Civic League, Augusta; and Pastor Sandy Williams, founder, Coalition for Marriage.

The events will be held:

. 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 13, Brewer Auditorium.

. 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, Family Bible Church, Ellsworth.
