Power line repairs cause midcoast outage

Repairs to a Central Maine Power transmission line Sunday resulted in power outages in several midcoast towns. Electricity was interrupted at approximately 3:30 p.m. in parts of Bremen, Bristol, Jefferson, Nobleboro, Warren, Waldoboro, Cushing, Friendship and Union, according to a CMP automated telephone answering center.

Repairs to a Central Maine Power transmission line Sunday resulted in power outages in several midcoast towns.

Electricity was interrupted at approximately 3:30 p.m. in parts of Bremen, Bristol, Jefferson, Nobleboro, Warren, Waldoboro, Cushing, Friendship and Union, according to a CMP automated telephone answering center.

Power was expected to be restored around 7 p.m.

A Knox Regional Communications Center dispatcher indicated that a fire in the line near Payson Park in Warren caused the damage.
