. June 16: Dave Wooley Band. Country music. Band will begin setting up at 5:30 p.m.

. June 23: Devonsquare. Premiere contemporary-folk music trio with a huge following and international reputation.

. June 30: Richard Punzi. Cool blend of rock, pop, folk and jazz.

. July 7: 195th Maine Army National Guard Band. One of the finest reserve component bands in the United States.

. July 14: One Five One. The band has its roots in a variety of musical sources from jazz, R&B, soul, rock and reggae. Vocalist Kenya Hall is joined by sax, bass, guitar and drum musicians.

. July 21: Cheepskates. Beginning in New York’s garage-rock scene, this band took Europe by storm in the late ’80’s and early ’90’s. Influenced by Brian Wilson, the Everly Brothers and Neil Young, they exerted their own influence on the likes of R.E.M.

Cool Sounds is produced by Bangor Center Corp., following the artisans’ market on the Kenduskeag Canal.

The new outdoor artisans’ market will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursdays, June 16 through July 21, along Kenduskeag Canal in downtown Bangor. The event will feature artisans, food vendors and entertainment.

More than 30 artisans will provide handcrafted products for sale, such as jewelry, natural body products, paintings, wearable art and accessories, pottery, stained glass hangings and home accessories.

Nine downtown eateries will operate food concessions at the market.

Portrait and landscape artist Giovina Ferrante-George will work on site and offer quick portrait sketches in charcoal or pastel. The band Jeezum Crowe will provide vocal and guitar entertainment.

The artisans’ market also is produced by Bangor Center Corp. For information, call Sally Bates at 992-4234.
