BANGOR – Morita’s School of Dance and the Morgan Hill Dancers recently performed at Peakes Auditorium for an audience of more than 1,200 at the school’s 37th production, “Favorite TV Theme Songs.”
The school announced that it has been selected to represent Maine at Dance Excellence in Hollywood, Calif., April 8-15, 2006. The weeklong program is attended by dancers worldwide. Only one studio from each state and country is chosen to attend the event.
Dancers attend classes, have an evening at the theater, perform at Disneyland and compete at the Good Times Theater at Knott’s Berry Farm.
Dancers from other studios are welcome to make arrangements to go along on the Hollywood trip. Other trips include the Studio in the Move in Orlando, Fla., where dancers perform at Disney Magic Music Days Oct. 6-11. Call 848-5083 for more information.
